Visitor Visa

Canada's visitor visa is often sought after by travelers worldwide. With its stunning natural landscapes, vibrant cities, and diverse cultural experiences, Canada offers a wealth of attractions for tourists. The visitor visa allows individuals to explore the country for leisure, visit friends and family, or engage in short-term business activities. Moreover, Canada's reputation for safety, inclusivity, and hospitality makes it an inviting destination for travelers of all backgrounds. Whether it's witnessing the majestic beauty of the Canadian Rockies, experiencing the bustling streets of Toronto, or immersing oneself in the rich indigenous heritage, the visitor visa opens doors to unforgettable experiences in one of the world's most welcoming nations.

The eligibility criteria for the visitor visa are as follows:

  • Have a valid travel document, like a passport.
  • Be in good health.
  • Have no criminal or immigration-related convictions.
  • Convince an immigration officer that you have ties—such as a job, home, financial assets, or family—that will take you back to your home country.
  • Convince an immigration officer that you will leave Canada at the end of your visit.
  • Have enough money for your stay.
  • The amount of money you will need depends on how long you will stay and if you will stay in a hotel, or with friends or relatives.

There are 4 typer of Visitor Visas; Multiple entry Visa (MEV), Single Entry Visa (SEV) Transit Visa, and Super Visa. Among them, MEV is most commonly used, this visa allows the holder to make multiple visits of up to six months at a time up till the validity of the Visa. In many cases, an invitation letter will be required to satisfy the officer that the applicant intends to stay only on a temporary basis. This is a letter by the sponsor of the applicant that promises to support the applicant during their stay. If the applicant’s purpose of visit is to attend an event, they must provide proof of their participation in the event.

The Super Visa is a category available for parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents. It allows them to make visits of up to 5 years with the option of getting an additional 2-year extension and normally has a validity of 10 years.
